Henry is auch noch woanders aber erschreibt: This just in. I am in Newcastle Australia at present. Hours ago, I got an e-mail from my old pal Rat Scabies of The Damned. He is in LA at the moment. I told him I was returning to LA on Monday and asked if he would come in and do the radio show with me on Tuesday. He said yes. So, before the show, he and I will pick some music to play and head down to the station. I plan on bringing in some rare Damned stuff to see if we can jog Mr. Scabies memory and get some interesting anecdotes out of the man. Rat is an interesting guy who saw some serious Punk Rock go down in his life. Talk about a guy who was really there! The Damned used to do shows with The Ruts, so there’s some stories there. The first time I saw The Damned was also the first time I saw The Bad Brains on a hot DC summer night in 1979, so there’s some stories there too. I think we’re going to have a good time. So, this coming Tuesday, Feb. 7th, turn your Damned dial or connect your Damned computer to the Damned Indie 103.1, 8 – 10 PM west coast time for Rat Scabies and myself.
